Nepalese Airplane Crash Kills 68 People

A plane crashed in the mountainous region of Pokhara, Nepal on Sunday, killing at least 68 people, officials said. The crash was the deadliest aviation accident in the country since a passenger plane went down 30 years ago.

It’s not clear why the plane went down, but a witness reported seeing it fall nose first into a gorge. Rescue workers rushed to the site. But thick smoke made rescue efforts hampered.
